Abstract
In order to study the law of river loss to predict the amount of water available in the future and protect water resources, this paper is based on big data collection and analysis, taking the Hotan River Basin in a typical arid desert area as an example, using the principle of water balance and statistical methods. Also, this article puts forward a prerequisite that needs to be met to establish a calculation formula for river water loss. The results show that the monthly river damage and inflow from the lower section of the rivers in the region are highly correlated with the inflow of the upper section, which is a practical method for forecasting the amount of water loss in the river.
