Abstract
Lithium-ion batteries have played a crucial role in modern society and are widely considered as a promising technology for storing energy. An electrode material has a significant effect on the performance of a lithium-ion battery. Over the last few years, this paper summarizes the recent research progress in three vital cathode materials, including layered oxides, spinel oxides, and olivine phosphates. Those research results indicate that doping is one of the very effective methods for improving performance.
