Abstract
As the development of Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) has expanded these years, certain progress is made by researchers. In this article, we will briefly discuss the development and working theories of organic photovoltaic, focuses on an overview of the operating mechanisms, merits and demerits and common materials of the three different types of OPV, which are Schottky organic cells, heterojunction organic cells and dye-sensitized cells. Additionally, analyzing the difference between indoor and outdoor OPV applications and their future prospects. This article sorted the main classifications of OPV and may provide insight for the future study of this field.
