Abstract

Sorting out the frontier and hot spots of exercise prescription research abroad has a positive reference role in promoting domestic research in this field. This study collected a total of 3246 related literatures on "exercise prescription" from the "Web of Science" database, and sorted and analyzed them with Citespace, a metrological analysis tool. The results showed that: 1) the number of foreign publications showed a linear growth trend year by year, indicating that foreign attention to exercise prescription increased year by year; 2) the scientific research institutions of universities in developed countries in Europe and the United States are the backbone in the field of sports prescription research, but China is not among the top ten countries with high productivity at present, suggesting that the research support in this field should be strengthened in China. Most of the highly cited authors work in the school of Public Health and sports Health of universities or ACSM organizations, and the form of cooperation is mainly in the form of team, but there is still a lack of cooperation and communication between authors and organizations. The research hotspots in this field focus on the two themes of quality of life and applied research, and the research trend will focus on the study of exercise prescription for special people and special diseases.
