Abstract
In the design of new lines and reconstruction of existing lines, there is current lack of accurate and effective simulation methods for the operation interval of express/local trains, and it cannot meet the needs of pre-computing the design effect of express/local trains operation organization plans. For the CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) system that has been applied widely, operation interval simulation method for express/local trains in urban rail transit is proposed by adopting the whole-process operation data analysis of multiple type trains running on the same path and the comprehensive operation interval determination strategy of the associated area. The simulation method can be applied to the mixed running of trains with different speed and different lengths, and has been applied to the operation interval calculation of key stations in the early-stage express/local trains operation plan of Shanghai Rail Transit Line 21. And the operation interval simulation analysis of express/local trains in various operation scenarios in the up and down direction of some stations provides key quantitative support for design decisions such as the design of subsequent station wiring, the number of trains allocated, exploiting the potential of operation capacity, and operation routing optimization.
