Abstract
Most previous studies have analysed the similarity of industrial structures based on the current situation or the past, and have drawn conclusions in stages. Based on the findings of past studies on the impact of industrial structure similarity, and considering the small changes in the industrial structure similarity index in recent years, this paper combines machine learning with support vector regression analysis to predict the impact of the year to be predicted using the industrial structure similarity index for the three years prior to the year to be predicted. The paper uses GDP as an indicator reflecting the impact of similarity of industrial structure. The experimental results show that the impact of similarity of industrial structure can be predicted to a certain extent and is very close to the true value, which is a guide to the healthy and sustainable development of cities.
