Abstract
Infantile hemangioma (IH) and venous malformation (VM) are common vascular diseases in childhood, and they both affect the growth and development of infants and children. Because of the complexity of IH and VM ultrasound images and/or insufficient clinical experience, they are often misdiagnosed, and then patients cannot get good treatment. To solve this problem, this paper develops an intelligent diagnosis system for vascular diseases based on deep learning. The deep learning networks have been trained for each vascular disease with numerous ultrasound image data. The special model for each category of vascular disease is then set up and can be applied to recognize IH and VM on input ultrasound image data. The development and application of this system can both reduce the workload to clinicians and improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
