Abstract
In order to improve the reliability of the arm on high power coal shearers. The problems of lubricating oil viscosity drops, gear wears, seal ring failures, etc. caused by the high thermal power of the arm should be avoided. According to the principle of enhanced heat transfer, the flow channel structure of the existing arm external cooling box was optimized, and the flow characteristics and heat transfer characteristics of the two different structures at different flow velocities were compared through numerical calculation. It was found that: the comprehensive heat transfer efficiency of the improved channel structure is obviously superior to the existing structure. Finally, the heat dissipation efficiency of the optimized structure is improved by about 30% through experimental verification, which improves the heat dissipation efficiency of the cooling system.
