Abstract
The precision measurement of gears plays an important role in the measurement and detection of gears. The current measurement methods for medium modulus gears are either time-consuming or expensive, and there is no universal measurement method that can measure all the parameters of the gear. In this paper, a static automatic measurement platform for the full teeth of medium module spur gears was built based on machine vision technology. Halcon was used to perform image acquisition and processing, and all parameters were calculated by the least square fitting of gear sub-pixel edge. Visual Studio software was used to design the result output interface. Non-contact measurement of spur gear was achieved through experimentation. In the experiment, a 3648pixel*5742pixel camera was used to collect gear images, and a spur gear with a pitch circle of 115mm were measured to obtain various geometric parameters, and the measured parameter values were compared with those of the factory measurement values. The experimental result shows that the maximum deviation between the visual measurement value and the factory measurement value for the addendum circle radius is 0.448mm, and for the dedendum circle radius, the maximum deviation is 0.763mm. It proves the reliability of the gear vision measurement system constructed in this paper.
