Abstract
This paper focus on parameter-dependent modeling and analysis of morphing wing UAV(MWUAV)’s longitudinal dynamics. Firstly, the nonlinear parameter varying (NPV) model is developed and transformed into input-dependent linear parameter varying(ID-LPV) model using “jacobian linearization” (JL) method. After that, the parameter-dependent flight envelops and dynamic stability are analyzed based on the ID-LPV model and unstable region is found and based on which, the stable operation points are selected. Then, the control effectiveness is analyzed in the linear model and nonlinear simulation is also performed to validate the analysis result, which is consistent with the linear analysis result. Both the linear and nonlinear results reveal the control effectiveness for altitude control using morphing.
