Abstract
To identify safety hazards around railways, reduce manual workloads, and enhance the management of railway surrounding environments, a technological framework for safety protection based on high-resolution remote sensing change monitoring is developed in this study. The proposed technical routes are outlined, and key technologies involved, such as information acquisition, data storage, identification and interpretation, and change analysis, are examined. A trial verification of change monitoring using high-resolution remote sensing is performed on typical environmental safety hazards (e.g., plastic greenhouses, color steel, and dust-proof nets) within a 500 m range relative to the railway in the experimental area. This method provides a foundation for managing and remediating railway surrounding environments and offers a new technical support approach for the safety management of railway operations. This work constructs a multidimensional, multi-element, and comprehensive perception system for surrounding environmental hazards of railways, achieving all-round and refined monitoring of external environmental safety hazards of railways, which promotes the transformation of problem discovery to active intelligence.
