Abstract
This paper presents a new approach to the transfer of technology in Image Understanding (RI). This approach is based upon the use of a shared software development environment for JU, called the KBVision System, which can serve to ease the transfer of computer vision algorithms. In particular, we discuss a DARPA-sponsored SBIR project in which the KBVision' System has been used to integrate and distribute algorithms from two very different research environments.
