Abstract

A 94 GHz gyrotron designed to operate in the TE₁₃ mode is under test. The expected output power is 150 kW for a beam voltage of 70 kV, a current of 10 A and a duty factor of 0.1%. Novel features, including a TE₁₃-TE₁₁ mode converter, will be discussed. Results of testing will be presented.
