A planar quasi-integrated Schottky receiver based on the quasi-integrated horn antenna has been designed and built at 250GHz. The receiver consists of a dipole suspended in an etched-pyramidal cavity on a thin dielectric membrane and a planar 1.2,um anode diameter Schottky diode [1]. The dipole is designed to result in a close conjugate match to the diode RF impedance and the IF is taken out using a coplanar stripline low-pass filter. The measured conversion loss and noise temperature of the receiver from 220GHz to 280GHz will be presented at the conference.
