A second-harmonic TE21 gyro-TWT which is predicted by a self-consistent nonlinear simulation code to produce an output power of 400 kW, efficiency of 20 % and con- stant drive bandwidth of 6 % is described. A single anode 100 kV, 20 A MIG is being built to generate the a = 1 electron beam with Avz /vz = 8%.
