Abstract
Fourier transform far infrared reflectivity measurements in both S- and P-polarization at 60 degree(s) oblique incident angle were performed on an ultrathin Ga0.47In0.53As/InP superlattice at 77 K. A vibrational mode at about 335 cm-1 was observed which can be attributed to a GaP-like mode. The presence of this mode gives information on the quality of the superlattice. The experimental results were compared with theory by modelling the superlattice as a uniaxial medium.
