Abstract
This paper deals with the enhancement of a laser speckle photography technique by means of a modification of the film development procedure. Using a holographic film, an amplitude characteristic of the film can be changed to a phase characteristic. This conversion is achieved during the film development procedure by a controlled bleaching of the exposed film. The experimental arrangement and the method to get a phase specklegram are described in detail. First experimental results are presented, the phase specklegram characteristics and the fields of application are discussed. Keywords: laser speckle photography, amplitude specklegram, phase specklegram
