Abstract
In order to raise the productivity and precision of Numeric Control-Wire Cut Electric Discharge Machining with High Speed (NC-WEDM-HS) system of two turning coordinates, the basic idea of simulation of the machining process of this machining system was introduced. The characteristics and general laws of cutting complex curved surfaces by the NC-WEDM-HS system of two turning coordinates were systematically analyzed. The motion parameters and motion forms of the NC-WEDM-HS system of two turning coordinates were also analyzed. The universal mathematical models of the NC-WEDM-HS system of two turning coordinates were derived. Many simulating programs were designed. Experiments on cutting complex curved surface by the NC-WEDM-HS system of two turning coordinates were conducted and many complex curved surface parts were machined. Good simulation results were obtained. Expected results were achieved. The application of this simulating technology was depicted. All these works provide an effective approach to resolve the problems of cutting complex curved surface parts by the mathematical models of the NC-WEDM-HS system.
