Abstract
The alteration of the tantalum foil absorptivity during more than 3 months after laser heating in nitrogen atmosphere was observed. The suggested reason of the effect is the foil annealing during the laser heating and the slow diffusion of nitrogen from tantalum. it is supposed that a new equilibrium state is reached by this time.
