Abstract
The theoretical analysis has been developed for the diffraction spectrum at the normal incidence of a plane light wave onto a sound wave in an isotropic medium. In the framework of the bound waves pattern, the diffraction spectrum behavior was investigated. Parameters of the sound wave such as a width and intensity of the sound beam are variable. As a result, it was shown that the dependence of the diffraction maximums' magnitude on the sound intensity is essentially modified with increase of the acousto-optic layer width even at the orthogonal orientation of interacting fields.
