Abstract
Different sorts of carbon monoxide laser systems such as a compact slab RF discharge overtone CO laser (λ~3.0-4.0 μm) with output power up to ~2.0 W, a master oscillator - power amplifier fundamental band CO laser facility emitting nanosecond pulses with peak power up to ~0.4 MW in the spectral range of ~5.0-7.5 μm, an efficient (~25%) second harmonic emitter based on the latter system, and difference frequency generation (4.3-4.9 μm) under nonlinear mixing of fundamental, second harmonic and sum frequency CO laser spectral lines are discussed.
