Myun-Sik Kim earned his Ph.D. in Photonics from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, in 2011. Since January 2019, he has held various roles within the company, including Application Engineer team manager and Product manager. Currently, he serves as Principal Strategic Business Development, focusing on identifying future markets and applications for Axetris Micro-Optics products. His expertise lies in the field of Micro-optics and its applications, such as telecom and datacom transceivers, 3D imaging, and sensing devices like light-field cameras. During his work at EPFL and UCSD as scientific staff, Myun-Sik authored 29 peer-reviewed articles in international journals, contributed to numerous SPIE proceedings, and authored a book chapter in "Progress in Optics," edited by Prof. Emil Wolf.
