Profile Summary

Dr. Pace has over 30 years of technical experience in imaging sensors and systems encompassing a wide variety of applications. Currently, she is an Engineering Fellow at L3Harris working on artificial intelligence and machine learning, advanced image processing algorithms, computer vision, and systems engineering for the DoD. Focus areas include Automatic target recognition (ATR), detection, tracking, identification, combat ID, and Course of Action (CoA) decision making. Prior to L3Harris she served as Director of Engineering for SenTech LLC and Chief Engineer for Lockheed Martin. She also worked as a subject matter expert (SME) at the US Army's NVESD Night Vision Lab, Director of Image Processing for DRS Technologies, and was a Faculty Researcher for the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State. Dr. Pace has 14 patents and numerous publications. She is a Fellow of IEEE, Past President of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, and is a past Editor-In-Chief for the AESS Magazine. She served as Chair and Co-Chair of the SPIE DCS Symposium. Associate editor for Machine Vision and Applications Journal, HKN's Board of Governors, and a Graduate Faculty Scholar at UCF. In addition, Dr. Pace is a member of UCF CREOL College of Optics Board, SPIE, IEEE Women in Engineering society, IEEE Signal Processing society, and a Life Member of the HKN Engineering Honor Society. Dr. Pace was awarded the Lockheed Martin Nova Award for Outstanding Individual Technical Excellence, the highest technical award given by the Lockheed Martin Corporation, and Lockheed Martin's Apex Individual Contributor Award.
