Abstract
To assess analytes, biosensors are small analytical devices that have a sensitive recognition module that is either biological or generated from biology and is mounted on a physicochemical transducer. On the other hand, sample pretreatment and analysis are both performed on the same hardware in microfluid systems, which increases the ability to detect minute changes, minimizes the amount of the sample and the reagent, and helps regulate flow conditions by enhancing transfer. In light of these advantages, combining the technologies of microfluidics and biosensors makes it possible to combine chemical and biological components onto a single platform. Future biosensing applications might benefit from its mobility, use by people with disabilities, capacity to detect changes in the environment in real time, remarkable precision, and the ability to analyze numerous analytes in a single device. The purpose of this research is to report on developments and applications of biosensing that make use of microfluidics. Literature examples are provided to further illustrate the benefits of integrating microfluidics and biological sensing techniques, as well as the adaptability of future biosensing for new fields that promises from such integration, such examples include point-of-care diagnostics in healthcare, biomolecular engineering, and medical research.
