Abstract
HIV is spread through contact. HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus works by destroying the immune system. The HIV virus can attack CD4-positive cells, resulting in acquired deficits in the patient's immune system. The incidence in the population is increasing year by year, especially in some special populations. Understanding their specific treatment methods can help patients. Cocktail therapy is one of the most important treatments for the AIDS patient and this technology is to use 3 or more antiviral drugs in combination to treat AIDS. The disadvantage of cocktail therapy is that it will also lose effects after 2 years or less time treatment because of the high multiplication rate of the HIV-1. Rukobia (fostemsavir), is HIV-1 gp120-directed attachment inhibitor to drug treat the disease. Overall, the Phase I, II, III trials of fostemsavir have shown great efficacy in treating patients. Fostemsavir was also a tolerated drug with side effects within the acceptable range. It is a great step forward in fighting HIV-1 and a milestone in HIV treatment development.
